We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a group of delegates to our demonstration farm—a visit that was rich with collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and forward-thinking discussions.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Taupo, the visit took place at our beautiful Waikino Farm, home to Maui’s world-class Southern Cross genetics program and a model for our sustainable farming practices. As part of the tour, guests had the chance to explore the heart of our operations—from lush paddocks to the milking shed and beyond.
One of the highlights was spending time in the green, rolling paddocks where sheep grazed contentedly. Delegates enjoyed observing the animals up close, learning about their care and role in our genetics program. Many took the opportunity to pat a few of our friendly ewes—an experience that added a personal, hands-on connection to the day.
Visitors also explored the milking shed, gaining insight into the innovative systems that support animal welfare and ensure premium milk quality. The tour sparked meaningful conversations about the growth of our supply farmers and the high standards that underpin everything we do.
